VIET LYNNWOOD FC (VLFC) Code of Conduct

Purpose:
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure that all members of Viet Lynnwood FC (VLFC) maintain a positive, respectful, and responsible attitude both on and off the field, contributing to a team environment that fosters success, unity, and enjoyment of the game.

Respect and Sportsmanship:

Respect for Teammates: All players must show respect and support for their teammates at all times, both on and off the field. Negative behavior such as name-calling, insults, or blaming others for mistakes will not be tolerated.

Respect for Opponents: Always demonstrate good sportsmanship towards opponents. Win with humility, lose with dignity, and show respect to all teams we compete against.

Respect for Coaches and Officials: Follow all instructions from coaches and respect their decisions. Similarly, respect all referees and match officials, even if you disagree with a call. Arguing or engaging in disrespectful conduct towards officials is unacceptable.

Commitment and Responsibility

Attendance and Punctuality: Players are expected to attend all training sessions and matches unless prior notice is given. Be on time for both practice and games. Consistent tardiness or absences without valid reasons may result in reduced playing time or other consequences. Effort and Dedication: Players are expected to give their best effort in both training and during games. Strive to improve individual skills while contributing to the overall success of the team. Team Spirit: Support and encourage one another, and work together to achieve team goals. Negativity, selfish behavior, or disrespect towards teammates will not be tolerated.

Conduct on Social Media

Positive Representation: Players must ensure that their behavior on social media positively reflects on the team. Avoid making any posts that may harm the image of the team or bring disrepute to Viet Lynnwood FC. Think before you post!

Confidentiality: Do not share sensitive or internal team information (such as strategies, lineups, or team disputes) on social media.

Substance Abuse and Fair Play

Zero Tolerance for Drugs and Alcohol: The use of illegal substances and alcohol consumption before or during games or practices is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this rule will result in disciplinary action.

Fair Play: Play the game with integrity. Do not engage in unsportsmanlike behavior such as diving, intentional fouls, or other dishonest conduct. Always strive to win fairly.

 

Disciplinary Actions

Warnings: For minor infractions, players may receive verbal or written warnings from the coach or team management.

Suspensions: For more serious or repeated violations, players may be suspended from games, practices, or even removed from the team.

Expulsion: In extreme cases, players who consistently violate the Code of Conduct or engage in unacceptable behavior may be permanently expelled from Viet Lynnwood FC.

Parent and Spectator Code of Conduct (YOUTH TEAM)

Parents and spectators are expected to act as positive role models. They must respect the players, coaches, referees, and opponents. Disruptive or unsportsmanlike behavior from the sidelines will not be tolerated, and individuals may be asked to leave the premises.

To all players, coaches, and parents acknowledge that they have read and understood the Viet Lynnwood FC Code of Conduct, and they agree to abide by its principles.
